The Foundation and Workbook

This book creates a sonic vocabulary of rhythmic syllables which can be used in combinations to help reading, improvisation and even composing.

The approach is not math based on fractions but instead has been organized into short phrases that are interchangeable. The modules (syllables) are organized into four levels. These are expandable through rests and ties.

Our goal is to see a rhythm, hear what it sounds like and have a reflexive hand response to what we see.

Reading, soloing and comping will all benefit from the application of Modular Phonetic Rhythm.
